I got to know Teri through our Rotary Club and the Women's Network. She had shared with me some of her previous experience and philosophy in eldercare: so I had a point of reference from which to start when it became clear that my sister and brother and I needed help coordinating my mom's care. We all met with Teri and she explained her approach. They liked her philosophy and personality, too, so we asked her to "assess" our mom.
Glory Be! Mom liked her too-as much as mom likes anybody.
Teri quickly understood that we needed to isolate mom's many issues and she laid out an action plan. Additionally, she called doctors, coordinated prescription lists, communicated with the care center, and assisted us at doctor visits. This service of helping us communicate with mom's doctors is a huge benefit!.
Teri has a natural approach with my mom: not condescending, but mindful of limitations in hearing and ability to comprehend. I have seen her interact with other older people and she has an ability to bring out the best in them.
So, in addition to her medical knowledge, her knowledge of the fields of geriatrics and dementia, her ability to speak with physicians and family members, she relates beautifully to the center of this issue?the person needing the care.
She is organized and returns phone calls, sent us materials about mom's illness without being asked…In short, she has been a godsend.

Dear Teri,
This letter is to tell you how much I, and my entire family, appreciate the kind, loving care you provided for my mother. The kind of care you provided her eased my concern greatly.

Dear Teri,
I can't tell you how much I appreciate that you have made sure that my father is well cared for. Living 3000 miles away from him when he needs health care assistance is impossible. Your experience and advocacy has truly put my mind at ease.
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
-- Coni B.
